About the role#
This Systems Engineer internship focuses on flight management systems for military helicopters and planes. You will join a team of engineers to build and test software features for these aviation platforms. This position is a full-time, paid opportunity available for Winter 2027 and Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and test software features for flight management systems.
- Integrate software components into military aircraft.
- Use communication and coordination skills to deliver quality products to customers.
- Expand your knowledge of systems engineering and flight management technology.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Advanced degree program in Computer, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering.
- You must remain enrolled through the end of the internship session.
- Experience with C, C++, ADA, or Python.
- Ability to draft system or software requirements is a plus.
- Interest or experience in pilot training, aircraft maintenance, or DO-178 certification is helpful.
- This role requires you to be a U.S. Person.
