About the role#
This is a full-time Systems Engineering Co-op position offered for the Summer and Fall 2027 terms. The role is based on-site in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Immigration sponsorship is available for this position if needed.
What you'll do#
- Support system-level requirements development by analyzing customer specifications and translating them into hardware and software needs.
- Participate in system integration activities, including creating interface definitions and verifying system behavior against requirements.
- Assist with verification and validation planning and execution, including developing test procedures and performing data analysis.
- Contribute to functional analyses, architectural exploration, and trade studies while evaluating design alternatives for performance, cost, and risk.
- Maintain system configuration and documentation throughout the development lifecycle.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program in Aerospace, Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering.
- You must remain actively enrolled through the completion of the co-op session.
- Previous internship, co-op, or work experience at RTX is preferred.
- A Private Pilot License or a general passion for aviation is preferred.
