About the role#
PCL Construction is hiring a Human Resources Student for our Canadian Industrial Division in Edmonton. This is a full-time, paid internship starting in January 2027 for a duration of 8 or 12 months. You will work on-site under the supervision of the Human Resources and Professional Development Manager.
What you'll do#
- Support the team with daily event preparation, meeting coordination, and interview scheduling.
- Manage action lists, reminders, and phone communications.
- Handle confidential correspondence, reports, and documentation.
- Gain exposure to recruiting, staff planning, training, and record keeping.
- Analyze data reports and offer recommendations based on findings.
- Identify and correct data entry errors to ensure accuracy.
- Resolve questions and issues in a timely manner.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree or diploma program with a Human Resources major.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills alongside interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and work independently.
- Proactive approach to anticipating project team needs.
- Skill in managing multiple tasks and shifting priorities while maintaining high accuracy.
- Demonstrated initiative and professionalism.
