About the role#
CSM Group is looking for a People Operations Intern to join our team for the summer of 2027. This role offers hands-on experience across human resources, including onboarding, training, employee engagement, and administrative support. You will work on projects that support employee success and organizational growth within the construction management industry.
What you'll do#
- Assist with new hire documentation, orientation preparation, and onboarding schedules.
- Maintain employee records and personnel files while ensuring accurate document management.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and DEIB efforts.
- Help update internal policies, procedures, and resources.
- Organize training sessions and track employee participation records.
- Create learning materials and presentation content.
- Plan employee events, wellness initiatives, and team-building activities.
- Conduct research on human capital trends and provide recommendations.
- Assist with workforce planning, employee surveys, and data analysis.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, Psychology, Communications, or a related field.
- Preference for rising juniors, seniors, or graduate students.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills.
- Interest in human resources, talent acquisition, and the construction industry.
- Previous internship, leadership, or administrative experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with HRIS, ATS, Microsoft Teams, or SharePoint is a plus.
