About the role#
McCarthy-Bush Corporation is hiring a Human Resources Intern for Summer 2027. This role provides exposure to the daily functions of an HR generalist while supporting both the HR and Payroll teams. You will work on-site in Davenport, Iowa, and assist with tasks across the entire employee lifecycle.
What you'll do#
- Support the HR and Payroll departments with daily administrative tasks.
- Assist with talent acquisition, onboarding, retention, and off-boarding processes.
- Prepare and maintain HR documentation.
- Conduct phone screenings for potential candidates.
- Draft offer letters and help create job descriptions.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at various worksites.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a degree program in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- High school diploma.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Detail-oriented approach to work.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to worksites.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

- Compensation: $16 to $19 per hour, depending on experience.
