About the role#
Pepper Construction is looking for a Human Resources Intern to join the team in Indianapolis for the Fall 2026 term. You will work alongside HR professionals to gain hands-on experience with daily operations, employee engagement, and talent development. This role is a paid, part-time opportunity requiring 15 to 20 hours of work per week on-site.
What you'll do#
- Support day-to-day HR operations and administrative tasks.
- Assist with employee onboarding and orientation activities.
- Coordinate training sessions, professional development programs, and company events.
- Schedule meetings and support office-wide initiatives.
- Maintain employee records while ensuring data accuracy.
- Handle confidential information with discretion.
- Assist with employee communications and engagement activities.
- Support HR projects that contribute to the employee experience.
- Gain exposure to employee relations and talent development functions.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, or a related field.
- Junior or Senior standing is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and manage time effectively.
- Organized, detail-oriented approach to work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
