About the role#
As a Field Engineer Intern, you will take on responsibilities similar to an entry-level Field Engineer. You will work directly with project teams to gain experience in project management, field supervision, and estimating. We assign each intern a mentor to support your development throughout the summer. You will be placed on a project team that aligns with your experience and knowledge.
What you'll do#
- Assist Field and Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Superintendents.
- Conduct safety and quality audits.
- Read and interpret project drawings and specifications.
- Log submittals, process RFIs, and prepare project reports.
- Assist with surveying and project layout tasks.
- Maintain and update field drawings, equipment records, and project documentation.
- Coordinate material deliveries and communicate with subcontractors and vendors.
- Attend project meetings and prepare meeting minutes, memos, and contracts.
- Assist with estimating tasks, including soliciting pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in a construction-related degree program.
- A strong interest in pursuing a career in the construction industry.
- Availability to work full time from May to August 2027.
- Willingness to temporarily relocate to project locations as needed.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass a substance abuse test.

- This is a paid, full-time summer internship.
- Positions are located in Aspen and Denver, Colorado.
- Work is on-site.
- Pay ranges from $22 to $28 per hour, depending on experience.
