About the role#
We are looking for an HSE Student to join our Florida Buildings Group for the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, paid position that provides hands-on experience on active construction projects. You will work on-site in Orlando, Tampa, or Fort Lauderdale to support our safety and health initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Monitor and help implement the project HSE plan, environmental plans, and safe work practices.
- Identify and conduct project-specific HSE training.
- Share safety trends with the project team and help create action plans.
- Assist in developing and using hazard identification tools.
- Perform HSE inspections and verify that corrective actions are completed.
- Support the team with emergency response plans and site security requirements.
- Review trade documentation and monitor safety compliance for trade contractors.
- Verify that equipment and tool inspections are documented correctly.
- Notify stakeholders of incidents and assist with investigations.
- Build and maintain professional relationships across the project.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree or diploma program in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Progress toward a safety designation.
- Knowledge of OH&S and environmental legislation plus HSE processes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with construction processes and terminology.
- An aptitude for adopting new technology.

- This role is based on-site in Orlando, Tampa, or Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
- The term is for Summer 2027.
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
