About the role#
As an Engineering/Technical Student, you will support our project teams in Fargo, Grand Forks, or Minneapolis. This is a full-time, paid position for the summer of 2027. You will work alongside Field Engineers, Project Managers, and Superintendents to gain practical experience on construction projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist the project team with daily operations and coordination.
- Conduct safety and quality audits.
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications.
- Log submittals and process requests for information.
- Assist with project surveying and site layout.
- Maintain and update field drawings, equipment records, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and field staff.
- Attend project meetings and prepare necessary documentation, such as meeting minutes and contracts.
- Support estimating tasks by soliciting information and pricing from suppliers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in a construction-related degree program.
- A goal to pursue a career in project management, field supervision, or estimating.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States and at least 18 years of age.
- A valid driver license and reliable transportation to reach the job site.
- Ability to work full time from May to August.
- Physical ability to navigate construction sites daily, including climbing ladders and stairs.
- Successful completion of a substance abuse test and potentially a criminal background check.
