About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Winter 2027 term. You will join the Atlantic Canada district team in Halifax for a 4-month period starting in January 2027. This role is on-site.
What you'll do#
- Set up new users, printers, and workstations.
- Provide phone and in-person support to the district office and various site locations.
- Participate in system upgrades and rollouts.
- Manage equipment assets and software licensing.
- Create reports using Microsoft Excel.
- Track, escalate, and follow up on IT issues.
- Attend weekly team meetings.
- Move monitors and other hardware between sites.
- Assist with inventory and auditing of computing equipment.
- Handle various customer service and systems tasks as needed.
What you'll need#
- You are currently working toward a degree or diploma in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Proficient computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office and basic hardware support.
- Strong analytical skills, with a focus on detail and accuracy.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- A commitment to providing customer service.
- The ability to evaluate and integrate technology to meet business needs.
- Basic hardware and networking skills.
