About the role#
Bird Construction is seeking a Student Automation Analyst for an 8 or 12 month internship starting in January 2027. This role is based in Winnipeg and provides an opportunity to manage your own projects while working under the guidance of a supervisor and technical mentor. You will help identify business needs and develop solutions that improve internal processes.
What you'll do#
- Design and develop custom business applications using PowerApps.
- Build and optimize automated workflows with Power Automate.
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Dataverse, and SQL Server.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
- Test applications to validate functionality and resolve issues before deployment.
- Create reports and dashboards using Power BI.
- Maintain and enhance existing Power Platform solutions based on user feedback.
- Support Project Management Office activities, including reporting, data management, and process improvement.
- Provide documentation, training, and support to end users.
- Ensure all documentation is kept in approved company repositories.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program for Business Analysis, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Completion of at least one semester of school after the internship ends.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain positive professional relationships.
- A sense of urgency and commitment to achieving goals.
- Ability to adapt to frequent changes in the work environment.
- You must be a resident or hold a valid work permit for Canada.
- You must include a current transcript with your application.
