About the role#
Bird Construction is hiring a Student Supply Chain Coordinator for a co-op position starting in January 2027. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Edmonton, Alberta. You will work on business-relevant projects while receiving support from a supervisor and a technical mentor. This role is designed to help you build skills in a professional construction environment.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with departments to collect information for purchasing and subcontract administration proposals.
- Create and format proposal documents while ensuring they meet organizational standards.
- Coordinate review processes to gather timely feedback from stakeholders.
- Conduct market research and analyze client requirements to tailor proposals.
- Maintain and organize a database of proposal content and project files.
- Work with subject matter experts to incorporate technical details into bids.
- Proofread and edit documents for accuracy and quality.
- Develop templates and standard content to improve future proposal workflows.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Supply Chain, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related program.
- You must have at least one semester of education remaining after your internship.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- The ability to adapt to frequent changes and work collaboratively.
- A sense of urgency and a commitment to achieving project goals.
- Legal residency or a valid work permit for Canada.
- You must include a current transcript with your application.
