About the role#
This internship is a three-month development program that provides a foundation for a career in civil engineering. You will work alongside project managers, subject matter experts, and mentors to contribute to engineering projects. The role focuses on building technical skills while developing a consultant mindset.
What you'll do#
- Design engineering solutions.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor progress.
- Attend project and client meetings.
- Refine technical designs and project documentation.
- Analyze reports and specifications.
- Explore project and client management processes.
- Use digital tools to support innovation and sustainable outcomes.

What you'll need#
- Progress toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest in the field through internships, volunteering, or organization memberships.
- Creative, methodical, and pragmatic problem-solving skills.
- Proficient communication and presentation abilities.
- A resilient, solution-oriented mindset.
- The ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
- A collaborative spirit and commitment to teamwork.
Location & details#
- Location: The Woodlands, Texas.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid, with a minimum of three days per week in the office.
- Employment: Full-time and paid position ($18/hr - $35/hr).
