About the role#
This internship is a three-month development program for students pursuing a career in structural engineering. You will work alongside consultants, project managers, and subject matter experts to gain technical experience and develop a professional mindset. You will contribute to projects while receiving mentorship and support to build your foundational skills.
What you'll do#
- Design engineering solutions.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor progress.
- Attend project and client meetings.
- Refine technical designs and documentation.
- Analyze reports and specifications.
- Explore project and client management practices.
- Use digital tools to drive innovation and sustainable outcomes.

What you'll need#
- Progress toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest in the field through internships, volunteering, or organization memberships.
- Creative thinking skills combined with a methodical approach to problem solving.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to engage with clients and colleagues.
- A resilient, solution-oriented mindset focused on continuous growth.
- Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- A collaborative spirit and commitment to teamwork.
Location & details#
- Location: Iselin, New Jersey.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (minimum of three days per week in the office).
- Status: Full-time and paid position.
