About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027. You will join our team as a CEI Intern to work on engineering projects alongside consultants, project managers, and subject matter experts. This position is part of our structured three-month development program.
What you'll do#
- Design engineering solutions.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor progress.
- Attend project and client meetings.
- Refine technical designs and documentation.
- Analyze reports and specifications.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest in the field through internships, volunteering, or organization memberships.
- Creative thinking skills with a methodical approach to problem solving.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Location & details#
- Location: Waynesville, North Carolina.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with a requirement to work from the office at least three days per week.
