About the role#
This is a full-time co-op position for the Winter and Spring 2027 terms. You will work on-site in Jamestown, North Dakota. This role requires U.S. citizenship. You will be expected to take a semester off from your coursework to focus on this mentorship opportunity.
What you'll do#
- Work with a team of stress engineers on new product development and certification.
- Perform structural analysis using classical methods and finite element analysis.
- Demonstrate the structural integrity of cargo handling system products.
- Help generate component applied loads and aircraft interface loads.
- Create structural analysis documentation for product certification.
- Assist with structural testing for product certification.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Actively enrolled through the end of the co-op session.
- Minimum of 60 credit hours completed by the start date.
- Experience with CAD software like SolidWorks, NX, AutoCAD, Autodesk, or Catia.
- Coursework in Statics and Mechanics of Materials.
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis, preferably ANSYS.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
