About the role#
Airbus Helicopters is seeking a long-term intern to join the Civil Programs team in Columbus, Mississippi. This role provides an opportunity to gain experience by working alongside programs, engineering, and operations staff. You will support daily operations at our manufacturing and assembly site for the UH-72A Lakota and H-125 aircraft.
What you'll do#
- Assist with industrial project management and planning operations.
- Help track aircraft status and allocations.
- Update and track information across multiple contracts.
- Create leading indicators to inform leadership decision making.
- Maintain master schedules for projects and update project schedules.
- Interpret technical design data and create detailed work instructions.
- Operate SAP for project management and scheduling tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 2 or 4 year program at an accredited college or university.
- Completion of at least 1 year of coursework in a business-related field, such as Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Must be local to the Columbus or Starkville, Mississippi area.
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of SAP, including modules MM and PP.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong understanding of technical terminology.
- Must be a US Person as defined by ITAR.
- Ability to use mainframe and PC hardware and software.

- This is an on-site, part-time, paid internship.
- The role is based in Columbus, Mississippi.
- This position may involve up to 10% domestic and international travel.
