About the role#
WGM Group is hiring a Civil Engineer Intern for the summer of 2027. This full-time, paid position is based in our Kalispell office. You will work on a variety of projects, gaining exposure to different engineering disciplines and project types.
What you'll do#
- Assist with civil engineering tasks, planning, and design.
- Produce redlines on engineering documents using Civil3D.
- Provide survey support as a field crew member by completing grade stake computations and marking.
- Perform construction observation and infrastructure testing for water and sewer projects.
- Assist in preparing cost estimate quantities.
- Conduct traffic counts and maintain project files and databases.
- Support the development of reports, calculation packages, and specifications.
- Assist with designing plans for public capital improvement projects, commercial sites, and subdivisions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program for civil engineering.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Kalispell, Montana.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Work Modality: Hybrid.
- Compensation: USD 22 - 23 per hour, with overtime pay for hours worked over 40 per week.
