About the role#
WGM Group is hiring a Civil Engineer Intern for the summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Missoula, Montana. You will work on a variety of project types, including public capital improvement projects, commercial sites, and subdivisions.
What you'll do#
- Assist with civil engineering tasks, planning, and design.
- Produce redlines on engineering documents using Civil3D.
- Join field crews to provide survey support, including grade stake computations and marking.
- Perform construction observation and infrastructure testing for water and sewer systems.
- Prepare cost estimate quantities.
- Conduct traffic counts.
- Maintain project files and databases.
- Support the development of reports, calculation packages, and specifications.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program for civil engineering.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- A proactive approach to new challenges.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Missoula, MT.
- Work Modality: Hybrid.
- Compensation: $22 - $23 per hour, with overtime pay for hours worked over 40 per week.
