About the role#
This summer internship offers an opportunity to join the Customer Services team in Mobile, Alabama. You will support development activities for Airbus working parties, focusing on procurement, logistics, and regulatory compliance. This is a paid, part-time position based on-site at the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility.
What you'll do#
- Oversee general procurement for the Major Repair project, including hand tools, cutting tools, and PPE.
- Collaborate with the warehouse manager to define technical specifications and address emerging needs.
- Manage project budgets and KPIs by creating performance dashboards.
- Assist the Procurement team in identifying and engaging local suppliers.
- Update the General Procurement catalog with new items and suppliers.
- Define and document Part 145 requirements for the Mobile Final Assembly Line.
- Work with the Quality department to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Source suppliers for Ground Support Equipment, such as forklifts and vehicles.
- Plan and manage the relocation of the Warehouse and Working-Party team.
- Coordinate the logistics of transferring materials, documentation, and tools.
- Handle administrative tasks for working party deployment, including visa preparation and drug test follow-ups.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited degree program studying Supply Chain Management, Aviation Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.
- Ability to work on-site in Mobile, Alabama, for the duration of the summer.
- A technical background in an assembly line or industrial environment is preferred.
- Experience with aircraft tools and methods is a plus.
- Spanish language skills are a plus.
