About the role#
This internship is a three-month development program for students pursuing a career in civil engineering. You will work alongside project managers and subject matter experts to gain technical skills and experience the mindset of a consultant. The role is full-time and based in Los Angeles.
What you'll do#
- Design engineering solutions and refine technical documentation.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor progress.
- Analyze reports and project specifications.
- Participate in client and project meetings.
- Explore aspects of project and client management.
- Use digital tools to drive sustainable project outcomes.
- Build professional connections through the Early Career Professionals Network.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest in the industry through previous internships, volunteer work, or memberships.
- A methodical, pragmatic, and creative approach to solving problems.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- A resilient, solution-oriented mindset focused on continuous growth.
- The ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
- A commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
- Authorization to work for any employer in the United States, as sponsorship is not available.
Location & details#
- Location: Los Angeles, California.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid, with a requirement to work from the office at least three days per week.
- Compensation: This is a paid position with an expected salary range of $18 to $35 per hour, depending on experience and education.
