About the role#
Michael Baker International is looking for an Aviation Civil Engineering Intern to join our team in Tampa, Florida, for the Summer 2027 term. You will work within our Aviation Department, supporting various design projects under the guidance of project managers and senior team members.
What you'll do#
- Prepare engineering calculations and develop drawings and visual aids.
- Assist engineers and project managers with daily tasks.
- Draft project details and make minor revisions in AutoCAD.
- Collect, input, verify, and manipulate project data.
- Work directly under the supervision of senior staff.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program for Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Completion of at least 2 years of coursework.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site internship located in Tampa, FL.
- The position is part-time and paid, with a compensation range of $20 to $26 per hour.
