About the role#
Wohlsen Construction Company is hiring a Construction Project Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This role provides administrative and coordination support to the project team, allowing you to gain practical experience in commercial construction management.
What you'll do#
- Collect, review, process, and distribute submittals and requests for information (RFIs).
- Prepare and distribute project documentation, including meeting minutes, correspondence, and general communications.
- Assist with bid package coordination, quote coverage, project billings, and draws.
- Maintain project files and logs for permits, change orders, submittals, RFIs, and closeout documentation.
- Support Project Managers with schedule updates, cost tracking, and daily management activities.
- Participate in site walks, safety inspections, quality observations, and project team meetings.
- Coordinate with trade partners, design partners, and internal team members.
- Travel to project jobsites and regional offices as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Construction Management, Construction Technology, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong written communication, organization, proofreading, and follow-through skills.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to assigned jobsites.
- Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, scheduling software, or construction management systems is helpful.

- Location: Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Employment: Full-time internship.
- Note: This position involves office work and active job site visits, which may include walking on uneven surfaces, climbing stairs or ladders, and wearing required personal protective equipment.
