    About the role#

    Wohlsen Construction Company is hiring a Project Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This full-time internship provides administrative and coordination support to the project team. You will gain practical experience in commercial construction management while working on-site in Baltimore, Maryland.

    What you'll do#

    • Collect, review, process, and distribute submittals and requests for information (RFIs).
    • Prepare and distribute project documentation, meeting minutes, correspondence, and communications.
    • Maintain accurate project files and logs, including permits, change orders, and closeout documentation.
    • Assist with bid package coordination, quote coverage, project billings, and draws.
    • Support Project Managers with schedule updates, cost tracking, and daily management tasks.
    • Participate in site walks, safety inspections, quality observations, and team meetings.
    • Coordinate with trade partners, design partners, and internal team members.
    • Travel to project jobsites and regional offices as assigned.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Construction Technology, Civil Engineering, or Architectural Engineering.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
    • Strong written communication, organization, proofreading, and follow-through skills.
    • A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to assigned jobsites.
    • Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, or scheduling software is a plus.

    • Location: Baltimore, MD.
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • This is a paid internship. Please note that sponsorship is not available for this position. Physical requirements include job site visits, walking on uneven surfaces, and climbing stairs or ladders.
