About the role#
Wohlsen Construction Company is hiring a Project Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This role provides administrative and coordination support to the project team while you gain practical experience in commercial construction management. You will work on-site and travel to project jobsites and regional offices as assigned.
What you'll do#
- Collect, review, process, and distribute submittals and requests for information.
- Prepare and distribute project documentation, meeting minutes, and correspondence.
- Assist with bid package coordination, quote coverage, project billings, and draws.
- Maintain accurate project files and logs, including permits, change orders, and closeout documentation.
- Participate in site walks, safety inspections, and quality observations.
- Support project managers with schedule updates, cost tracking, and daily management activities.
- Coordinate with trade partners, design partners, and internal team members.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Construction Management, Construction Technology, Civil Engineering, or Architectural Engineering.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong written communication, organization, proofreading, and follow-through skills.
- A valid driver license.
- Ability to work in office settings and on active job sites, which may include walking on uneven surfaces or climbing stairs and ladders.
