About the role#
As a Design Engineer Intern at Marvin, you will work within the R&D department to support product development. This role involves a mix of hands-on prototyping and technical drafting. You will work alongside engineers and designers to update existing products and create new design concepts.
What you'll do#
- Build and test prototypes, including preparing test samples and installing windows and doors.
- Assist with building bucks and full assembly units for testing.
- Perform engineering analysis and calculations to ensure designs meet requirements and function correctly.
- Provide drafting and modeling support using 3D software.
- Maintain print planners, create redlines, and update prints based on drafting standards.
- Become familiar with product components and how designs relate to field performance.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for Engineering.
- Working knowledge of 2D and 3D modeling software, with a preference for Inventor.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to use power tools and computer equipment.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- A dependable and self-motivated approach to teamwork.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship based in West Fargo, North Dakota.
- The position follows a rolling term.
