About the role#
As a Controls Engineer Intern, you will join the Custom Equipment Group in Warroad, Minnesota. You will work alongside mechanical and electrical engineers and technicians to support production initiatives. This role offers the chance to apply your classroom knowledge to real-world engineering projects while building your professional skillset.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Custom Equipment Group with projects and daily engineering tasks.
- Test and troubleshoot electrical hardware.
- Diagnose and fix electrical and programmatical issues.
- Create and update electrical schematics.
- Modify programs using various software tools.
- Provide project updates and a final presentation to engineering leadership.
- Clock in and out each day as scheduled.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Engineering or an equivalent field.
- Access to your own workstation with AutoCAD Electrical software.
- A willingness to learn new skills, software, and procedures.
- Ability to apply technical concepts to practical applications.
- An eagerness to ask questions and discuss technical details.
- Previous internship experience is helpful but not required.
Location & details#
- Location: Warroad, Minnesota.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm.
- Compensation: $21.50 to $24.50 per hour.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Employment Type: Full-time.
