About the role#
Tokyo Electron US is hiring a Process Engineer Co-Op for the Winter and Summer 2027 terms. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Albany, New York. You will work on projects that contribute to our business objectives while gaining hands-on experience in semiconductor manufacturing.
What you'll do#
- Develop and modify processes for the fabrication and evaluation of semiconductors.
- Collaborate with engineers to propose criteria and formats for hardware and process evaluations.
- Compile, analyze, and present experimental data to your team.
- Create and update standard operating procedures and document tasks.
- Determine appropriate limits and variables for process specifications by analyzing test data.
- Assist in the interpretation of physical and chemical behaviors for process characterization.
- Complete safety training to work in the process lab.
- Research semiconductor techniques through literature and hands-on practice.
- Prepare and present a final project report at the end of your term.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Nanoscience, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field.
- Experience with Statistical Design and Analysis of Experiment methods.
- Ability to work both independently and within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Experience working safely in a laboratory environment with hazardous chemicals.
- Fluency in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- Physical requirements include the ability to work in clean room environments, lift up to 35 pounds, and use required personal protective equipment when handling chemicals or working near moving mechanical parts.
