About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based in Richardson, Texas. You will work on-site for approximately 8 months starting in January 2027. This role involves hands-on engineering work within a clean room facility.
What you'll do#
- Lead one or more projects in areas such as evaporation, CVD, PVD, thin film depositing, electroplating, plasma etch, dry/wet etch, photolithography, wafer dicing, and CMP.
- Collect data using various metrology tools.
- Analyze data using Excel and Spotfire.
- Troubleshoot processes and optimize recipes.
- Design and execute fab engineering trials.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS, MS, or PhD program for Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Coursework or experience with semiconductor processing techniques like PVD, CVD, lithography, dry/wet etch, and CMP.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and communication skills.
- Experience with Spotfire is a plus.
- Ability to work on-site for 8 months starting in January 2027.
