About the role#
As a Module Integrator Intern, you will work on the development of advanced RF front-end modules for 5G NR and 6G smartphone applications. You will join cross-functional teams to integrate individual hardware components into a single, optimized multi-chip module.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the design of RF front-end modules including power amplifiers, SOI dies, filter dies, and surface-mounted devices.
- Ensure modules meet target performance specifications while considering size, cost, footprint, and schedule.
- Build complex HFSS EM models of multi-functional RF front-end modules to extract performance, prevent unwanted coupling, and minimize shielding effects.
- Conduct full module simulations across all functional states to identify compliance issues and propose solutions to improve margins.
- Collaborate with team members to contribute design schematics, simulations, and real lab data.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Coursework or experience in RF and analog circuit design.
- Strong understanding of fundamental electronics engineering concepts, including impedance matching with Smith charts and RF/microwave parameters like gain, loss, noise figure, and stability.
- Hands-on experience with simulation and EDA tools such as ADS, FEM, HFSS, Momentum, Cadence, EMX, or AWR.
- Experience with passive RF structures like filters, couplers, dividers, and patch antennas or active CMOS circuits tape-out.
- Lab characterization experience using spectrum analyzers and network analyzers.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented approach.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as a self-starter.
- Effective organizational skills for systematic planning and scheduling.
