About the role#
Brewer Science is looking for a Process Engineer Co-Op to join our team in Vichy, Missouri. This is a full-time, paid position for the Winter 2027 and Summer 2027 terms. You will focus on characterizing products and manufacturing processes while supporting continuous improvements in quality, efficiency, and safety. You will work closely with technicians and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot challenges, document findings, and support chemical manufacturing operations.
What you'll do#
- Perform product and process characterization.
- Conduct material testing, process studies, and research investigations.
- Prepare workbook and process specifications.
- Coordinate the work of technicians or others assisting with specific assignments.
- Maintain accurate records of data, procedures, experiments, and findings.
- Analyze data to drive improvements in products, processes, and systems.
- Write regular reports summarizing outcomes, achievements, and challenges.
- Troubleshoot process issues and propose solutions.
- Support the implementation of safety procedures and guidelines.
- Work with cross-functional teams to improve process efficiency and product quality.
- Learn and follow industry regulations related to chemical manufacturing.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Engineering Management.
- Undergraduate student status.
- Availability to take a semester off from school.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the co-op.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
