About the role#
Brewer Science is seeking a Process Engineer Co-Op to join our team in Rolla, Missouri. This is a full-time, paid position for the Winter and Summer 2027 terms. You will evaluate, develop, and implement programs for product characterization and process improvements.
What you'll do#
- Perform product and process characterization.
- Test materials and prepare process specifications.
- Conduct research investigations and process studies.
- Maintain accurate records of data, procedures, and test results.
- Analyze data to support continuous improvements in products and systems.
- Participate in troubleshooting activities and propose operational solutions.
- Prepare regular reports on outcomes, achievements, and challenges.
- Coordinate the work of technicians on specific assignments.
- Support the implementation of safety procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve process efficiency.
- Learn and follow industry regulations related to chemical manufacturing.
What you'll need#
- Working toward a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Ability to take a semester off from school.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the co-op.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
