About the role#
This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship based in Lockport, New York. You will join the eCompressor Product Development team to support the design and launch of automotive air conditioning compressors for global vehicle applications. This is a hands-on role that covers the entire product development process, from initial design and component selection to prototype building and testing.
What you'll do#
- Support the development and customer launch activities for eCompressor products.
- Assist with the preparation, assembly, and testing of compressor samples.
- Help create a development platform for benchmarking and product integration.
- Work on mechanical and electrical component design.
- Focus on improving electronics and motor thermal management.
- Analyze test data and organize results into reports with your observations and conclusions.
- Apply engineering practices to reach design solutions.
- Participate in cross-functional teams for customer program launches.
- Complete other assignments as directed by management.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills.
- Good written and oral communication skills to explain technical concepts.
- Ability to manage time and organize multiple projects effectively.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- A results-oriented mindset and a strong work ethic.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Good interpersonal skills.
