About the role#
The HVAC Product Engineering Intern reports to the Head of AC Design. You will work on product engineering tasks using internal systems while gaining exposure to HVAC module design and quality processes. This role involves a mix of office work, testing, and potential travel to manufacturing plants or customer sites.
What you'll do#
- Manage VAMAS requests, set up tests, analyze data, and write reports for management review.
- Study HVAC module design through drawings, DFMEA, and DRBFM.
- Run module level tests and use CFD tools to optimize designs.
- Solve problems with team members using methods like 5 Whys, fish bone diagrams, and fault trees.
- Assist with tasks at manufacturing plants and customer locations when opportunities arise.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program for Mechanical Engineering, from freshman level and up.
- Background in CAD, CAE, and validation testing.
- Experience with data analysis and report creation.
- Relevant course work or previous internship experience.
