About the role#
This internship supports the Compressor Product Engineering Group at MAHLE. You will assist in the development and launch of automotive air conditioning compressor designs for global vehicle applications. This is a hands-on role that covers the full product development cycle, from initial design and component selection to prototype builds and testing.
What you'll do#
- Work with the eCompressor Product Development team to advance design and customer launch activities.
- Prepare, build, and test compressor product samples.
- Create a development platform for motor characterization and benchmarking.
- Develop sensors for current, voltage, and position integration.
- Work on PCB layout and minor circuit design.
- Improve electronics and motor thermal management.
- Analyze test data and document results with observations and conclusions.
- Participate in cross-functional teams for customer program launches.
- Prepare departmental reports and complete other assignments as directed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelors degree program for Electrical Engineering.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to manage time and organize multiple projects effectively.
- Good written and oral communication skills to explain technical concepts.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- A results-oriented approach and a strong work ethic.
