About the role#
Bridgestone Americas is seeking Electrical Engineering students for a co-op program during the Summer and Fall 2027 terms. This is a full-time, paid position where you will gain hands-on experience by working on engineering projects at our manufacturing facilities. You will work alongside experienced engineers to develop technical skills and contribute to plant operations.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and deploy machinery and equipment to improve manufacturing processes.
- Program and integrate industrial controls hardware and software for new and existing machines.
- Apply PLC programming techniques and use AutoCAD Electrical.
- Use key electrical manufacturing tools and systems while suggesting process improvements.
- Support process engineering by working on specifications and standards for curing, components, and uniformity.
- Assist in the design, procurement, installation, debug, start-up, and operation of plant equipment.
- Create, revise, and organize technical documents using standard software.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited university pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related major.
- Sophomore, junior, or senior standing with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Completed coursework in Computer Aided Design (CAD) or AutoCAD.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for a minimum of 6 months.
