About the role#
As an HVAC Engineering Intern, you will report to the Head of AC Application Engineering. This position involves direct involvement in component validation and test support within our motor vehicle manufacturing operations. You will work on-site in Lockport, New York.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate customer specifications to create component test plans.
- Collaborate with Test Lab Techs to execute standard tests and document the findings.
- Design custom fixtures to assist with testing requirements.
- Operate airflow test equipment to assess HVAC module performance.
- Assist with HVAC module builds to improve design and assembly processes.
- Support the analysis of returned components for warranty purposes.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Mechanical Engineering, specifically as a Sophomore or Junior.
- Familiarity with CAD software and 3D printing.
- Experience with computer-aided tools such as CFD or FEA.
- Formal training in problem solving is considered an asset.
