About the role#
As an Advisory Intern in the Risk Services practice, you will work on financial crimes investigations and risk management initiatives. You will support teams in analyzing data to uncover irregularities, assess internal controls, and assist clients in regulated industries. This role involves both quantitative and qualitative work to help resolve complex financial disputes and regulatory challenges.
What you'll do#
- Identify, gather, and analyze data to support investigations into accounting irregularities, fraud, bribery, corruption, and regulatory non-compliance.
- Assist with legal, economic, and financial research.
- Perform financial data analyses to help resolve regulatory disputes and quantify damages.
- Support financial institutions and FinTech clients with risk management, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Fraud transaction monitoring, Know Your Customer (KYC) reviews, and Sanctions program assessments.
- Identify internal controls within business processes and conduct cyclical testing.
- Perform analytical reviews of client processes and their connection to IT systems.
- Complete quantitative and qualitative analyses regarding fraud, forensics, insider threats, and supply chain risks.
- Visualize results to identify performance improvement opportunities.
- Collect information through system queries, research, and interviews.
- Assist senior team members in working with counsel.
- Support the design, preparation, and review of written deliverables.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting, Quantitative Analysis, Finance, Risk Management, Information Systems, Criminal Justice, or an equivalent field.
- A current or most recent GPA of 3.00 or above.
- Fluency with artificial intelligence concepts and tools.
- Strong technical, business acumen, critical thinking, and agility skills.
- Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship.

- Modality: This position involves a mix of on-site, remote, and hybrid work depending on business needs. You must reside within a commutable distance of the office and be located within the U.S. when working remotely.
