About the role#
KPMG US is hiring an Advisory Intern for the Deal Advisory - Financial Due Diligence practice for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid internship. You will work with internal teams on buy-side and sell-side transaction engagements for private equity investors and Fortune 100 companies.
What you'll do#
- Assist team members with financial due diligence tasks.
- Analyze client and target company data to identify operating trends and financial performance.
- Perform financial analyses covering quality of earnings, net working capital, debt, financial position, and business combinations.
- Compose client-tailored transaction advisory reports that address valuation models, synergies, and accounting implications.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelors or Master of Accountancy, or an equivalent program.
- Progress toward educational requirements for CPA licensure in the state where the office is located.
- A current or most recent GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong critical thinking, business acumen, and technical skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office, specifically Excel, and the ability to use AI tools.
- Strong communication and organization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to apply professional judgment and skepticism.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship.
Location & details#
- The position is based in New York, NY.
- You must reside within a commutable distance of the office.
- Work modality includes a mix of in-office, client site, and remote work. You must be located in the U.S. when working remotely.
