About the role#
This is a 12-week, paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site in Fontana, California, gaining hands-on experience in water technology research. You will contribute to active R&D projects, apply your academic knowledge to engineering challenges, and focus on improving environmental performance and resource efficiency.
What you'll do#
- Design and conduct laboratory experiments to evaluate wastewater treatment technologies.
- Perform water-quality testing and operate analytical instruments.
- Analyze experimental data and monitor laboratory-scale or pilot-scale treatment systems.
- Develop and test fiber cement prototypes using materials created from wastewater processes.
- Write technical reports, summarize your findings, and present results and recommendations to the team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Environmental Engineering.
- Graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.
- Minimum GPA of 3.00.
- Full-time availability for 12 weeks during Summer 2027.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Reliable transportation to the work site.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-interpretation skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Prior laboratory research, internship, or co-op experience is preferred.
