About the role#
Hexcel is looking for an Engineering Intern to join our team in Salt Lake City. This program offers exposure to various departments including Project, Manufacturing, Safety, Quality, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering. You will work on assigned projects that apply the skills you are learning in your degree program.
What you'll do#
- Analyze and interpret manufacturing techniques, procedures, and processing conditions for carbon fiber, resins, and pre-preg materials.
- Perform testing on electrical and mechanical components and recommend improvements.
- Conduct data analysis to support productivity and process improvements.
- Assist with equipment inspections and safety analysis projects.
- Develop engineering cost proposals and project schedules.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a sophomore or junior in a B.S. degree program for Materials Science, Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical, or Civil Engineering.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Preferred experience includes CAD, Minitab, and exposure to Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma programs.
- Must meet U.S. person status requirements for employment.
