About the role#
This is a 12-week paid engineering internship based in Plant City, Florida. You will support manufacturing improvements through focused assignments in training documentation, process-water pretreatment, or warehouse organization. You will work on-site, collaborate with operators and technical partners, and participate in the site Daily Management System. The program concludes with a presentation of your project findings and business impact.
What you'll do#
- Review training manuals and standard operating procedures to update content and address gaps.
- Shadow operators and work with subject-matter experts to refine priority documentation.
- Evaluate pretreatment needs for an existing reverse-osmosis system.
- Develop equipment specifications, project cost estimates, and installation scopes.
- Analyze warehouse layouts, material movement, and storage locations.
- Identify time-saving opportunities and prepare reports on warehouse efficiency.
- Deliver practical documentation or project recommendations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor program for Industrial, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Full-time availability for 12 weeks during summer 2027.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Reliable transportation to the work site.
- Strong interpersonal and technical documentation skills.
- Coursework in separations or unit-operations for process-water assignments.
- Exposure to Lean manufacturing or continuous-improvement methods is helpful.
