About the role#
The Biosurgery Product Lifecycle Management team manages a portfolio of medical devices used in surgical procedures. This internship offers experience in a cross-functional medical device environment, focusing on laboratory testing, technical documentation, and product lifecycle management. You will work on-site in Raritan, New Jersey, during the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support the implementation and evaluation of laboratory test methods for medical device performance.
- Conduct experimental studies and analyze data to assess testing approaches and product attributes.
- Develop and document laboratory procedures, test methods, and study results in line with quality system requirements.
- Review and organize historical product and technical documentation to assist with lifecycle management.
- Work with engineers and cross-functional partners to identify opportunities for process and documentation improvements.
- Present project findings and recommendations to technical stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Completion of undergraduate freshman year at an accredited university.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in Biomedical, Chemical, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or related fields.
- A cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Interest in medical device development, product lifecycle management, or laboratory research.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with data analysis and laboratory environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with statistical tools, Minitab, and Excel is a plus.
- Prior lab or R&D experience in school or previous internship roles is a plus.
- You must be permanently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Raritan, New Jersey.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May to August).
- Status: Full-time (40 hours per week).
- Compensation: $23.50 to $52.50 per hour, based on program year, discipline, degree, and experience.
