About the role#
Intact is looking for an Android Developer to join our team for a 4-month internship during the Winter 2027 term. You will work on our design system to support mobile app development and collaborate with product and design teams to build sustainable solutions.
What you'll do#
- Analyze, develop, and maintain Intact's design system for Android mobile applications.
- Integrate the design system while ensuring compliance with Android design principles and Material Design.
- Create and maintain highly reusable code.
- Provide technical advice and recommendations regarding our technology stack and business model.
- Collaborate with partner developers to ensure the sustainability of solutions.
- Serve as a point of contact for the design system, product, and design teams regarding Android development.
- Support product and design workflows by answering questions and resolving issues related to the Android platform.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field at a post-secondary institution.
- Experience in software development and the creation of native Android applications.
- Proficiency with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- Familiarity with the Android platform, design principles, and Material Design guidelines.
- Ability to demonstrate the creation of application frameworks or reusable components.
- Understanding of Android design patterns.
- Experience with Git and Atlassian tools.
- Familiarity with design tools such as Figma.
- Bilingualism in French and English.

- Location: Montréal, Quebec, Canada.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 5 to April 23, 2027).
- Employment: Full-time (35 hours per week).
