About the role#
Intact is hiring IT Technical Advisor interns for the Winter 2027 term. You will join one of two specialized teams, either IT FinOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and Intelligent Operations. This is a full-time, on-site internship based in Montréal or St-Hyacinthe.
What you'll do#
Depending on your team assignment, your responsibilities will include:
- Extracting data sets for analysis and creating recommendations.
- Improving system development and maintenance processes.
- Verifying system optimization and compliance with quality standards.
- Analyzing and suggesting improvements to user experiences and services.
- Learning observability platforms and SRE practices to improve application performance.
- Assisting support, operations, and development teams during production incidents.
- Onboarding new services and infrastructure through automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Improving platforms and automation tools using Terraform and AI.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Systems Network.
- Ability to work full-time (35 hours per week) for the Winter 2027 term.
- Status as an active student during the internship or returning to school in Summer or Fall 2027.
- Bilingualism is required for these Quebec locations.
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience in data management or analysis.
- A foundational understanding of technology, networking, cybersecurity, and cloud platforms.
- Proficiency with MS Office and an eagerness to develop programming skills.
