About the role#
Intact is looking for an Information Systems Analyst to join our team for a 4-month internship during the Winter 2027 term. You will work alongside Digital, Data, and Tech experts to support project coordination, security analysis, and daily operations. This role is based on-site in Toronto.
What you'll do#
- Support the Product Owner in organizing and maintaining the team backlog, including project requests and security reviews.
- Track projects from intake through remediation and deployment readiness.
- Participate in working sessions and document key decisions, assumptions, and follow-up actions.
- Update threat registers, security requirements, and mitigation trackers.
- Assist with backlog refinement, planning, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Identify changes to project scope, timelines, or requirements and communicate their impact.
- Monitor dependencies, competing priorities, and delivery risks while recommending process improvements.
- Prepare status updates, dashboards, and reports for stakeholders.
- Maintain team procedures, templates, and knowledge-base content.
- Provide day-to-day coordination and analysis support to the Product Owner, Manager, and Security Advisors.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's, master's, or PhD program in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
- Enrollment in a recognized co-op program.
- Ability to work 35 hours per week from January 4 to April 23, 2027.
- Status as an active student during the internship or returning to school the following semester.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to synthesize information and document it clearly.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and charts.
- Interest in cybersecurity, threat modeling, or risk management.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Initiative, adaptability, and the ability to work independently.
- Experience in business analysis, project coordination, IT, or cybersecurity is an asset.
- Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, Agile methodology, SQL, Power BI, or Tableau is an asset.
