About the role#
The Salesforce Platform team at Mackenzie Investments builds and maintains technology solutions for business partners and advisors. This internship is a full-time, paid position for the Winter 2027 term, running from January to April. You will work within a collaborative pod alongside analysts, developers, and architects to support platform operations and project delivery.
What you'll do#
- Support the Salesforce team with platform enhancements, continuous improvements, and daily operations.
- Assist with administrative tasks like user setup, profile management, and access troubleshooting.
- Triage and investigate user issues, data quality concerns, and system defects.
- Participate in sandbox testing, release validation, and post-deployment checks.
- Collaborate with partners to gather and document business requirements and user stories.
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, planning sessions, and retrospectives.
- Create and maintain technical and user documentation.
- Track project milestones, risks, and action items across workstreams.
- Support data analysis, reporting, and dashboard creation to drive platform decisions.
- Identify opportunities to improve team effectiveness through automation and AI-enabled tools.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program for Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- A technical foundation in databases, CRM platforms, and business applications.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow defined processes for testing and change control.
- Demonstrated curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning.
- Familiarity with Salesforce concepts like objects, fields, and reporting is an asset.
- Exposure to SQL, Java, JavaScript, Python, or Agile practices is an asset.
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or GitHub is an asset.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Toronto, Ontario.
- The position follows a hybrid work model, requiring three days per week in the office.
- This is a full-time role requiring 37.5 hours per week.
