About the role#
Collier Aerospace is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to join our team for the Summer 2027 term. This role focuses on full-stack web development to support our primary software, HyperX. You will work on web-based applications that provide tools for our engineering team and supplement our core product.
What you'll do#
- Build new features and update existing functionality for our web applications using C#, TypeScript, and React.
- Work across the full stack, including frontend interfaces, backend services, databases, and infrastructure tooling.
- Partner with software engineers and application users to understand requirements and iterate on your work.
- Gain experience with cloud providers like AWS or Azure and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
What you'll need#
- You are a US citizen.
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- You have experience working on software projects in a collaborative team setting.
- Proficiency in C# or similar object-oriented languages like Java.
- Proficiency in frontend development with TypeScript, CSS, and React.
- Experience with SQL databases such as MariaDB or SQLite.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to learn new processes quickly.
- Good communication skills to work effectively with senior developers and QA.

- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Newport News, Virginia.
- The internship takes place during the Summer 2027 term.
