About the role#
As a Software Engineer Intern, you will work with cross-functional engineering teams to build software for tactical radio equipment. This role involves working across the full software development life cycle, from initial requirements to final testing. You will work on-site in Sunrise, Florida.
What you'll do#
- Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical concepts to develop software for target applications.
- Build and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software components.
- Design and implement embedded software for real-time control systems.
- Create software test procedures, programs, and technical documentation.
- Use modeling tools to collect operating data, run experimental tests, and analyze results.
- Take part in peer reviews to identify, track, and fix software defects.
- Work with languages such as C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, HTML5, XML, SQL, Perl, Python, Ajax, and Qt on various platforms including Windows, Linux, and embedded real-time operating systems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program at an accredited university.
- A major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Wireless Engineering, Information Security, Mathematics, Digital Arts & Sciences, or a related field.
Location & details#
- Location: Sunrise, Florida.
- Schedule: 9/80 schedule, which includes 80 hours worked over 9 days with every other Friday off.
- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
