About the role#
As a Manufacturing Engineer Intern, you will work on-site at our Londonderry facility. This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling start date. You will work a 9/80 schedule, which means you work 80 hours over nine days and have every other Friday off.
What you'll do#
- Implement and analyze manufacturing plans and projects.
- Develop and transfer manufacturing tools, strategies, and systems.
- Create manufacturing strategies for specific products and processes.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to release new products.
- Estimate manufacturing costs, set time standards, and recommend tooling or process requirements for new and existing product lines.
- Maintain records and reporting systems to coordinate manufacturing operations.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Experience or training in process flow mapping, PFEP, and production material controls.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and technical writing.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Pro-E, MS Project, or MS SharePoint.
- Familiarity with AI tools for systems engineering tasks, such as PFMEA, DFMEA, and DOE design.
